Play kickball for the Georgia Transplant Foundation - March 13th

We’re putting together a kickball tournament on March 13th to raise money for the Georgia Transplant Foundation. If you’re unfamiliar with GTF, it’s a great organization that provides essential services to organ transplant candidates, recipients, living donors and their families right here in Georgia.

We need participation from our community in order to make this a successful fundraiser.

When: March 13, 8 am - 1 pm
Where: Piedmont Park Soccer Fields
Donation/Entry fee:
$200/team (9-11 players)
$25 individuals (we'll find you a team)

If you know of any groups or individuals who would like to play kickball for a great cause, please send them the link to this page.

I'm with Diesel.

We're liking this new campaign by Diesel, which essentially asks you to live your life by being stupid. That's how you get the real rewards.

After all, without a little stupid bravery by the Vikings, we would have never founded this lovely continent. We're still bitter about that one, Columbus.

Remember the 900s?

OK, so we post a lot about dogs. We're sorry. But it's possible we just found the reason. The Norwegian Buhund, a new breed at this year's Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, was bred by Vikings way back in the 10th century. That little guy would look perfect with a sword and shield. See more here.

Sharpie stops something sharp.

We use a lot of Sharpies in advertising. They allow us to quickly scribble ideas on the nearest object, like a napkin or tissue or coworker's face.

They also allow our copywriters to fake some level of illustrating talent. Just kidding. We don't waste precious Sharpies on copywriters.

And it turns out there's a lot more uses for Sharpies, like preventing a trip to the... hospital? Read about it on Sharpie's blog.

It's an impressive use of social media to boost sales of a product that, according to Newell Rubbermaid's Bert DuMars, the average consumer only purchases every other year.

iPhone, iPod, iColor?

Already a successful application among designers, Neenah Paper’s Think Ink: Color Unleashed has been updated, and it’s even better. Think Ink is the only app that lets you create your own custom color palettes using various resources and the Dewey Color System.

The new version allows for building and editing base colors in both CMYK as well as the previous RGB color system. What more could a creative warrior ask for?

The World's Biggest Signpost from adghost

Here's a wonderful idea from Nokia that still might not put a dent in the iPhone's dominance. But as far as we know, there's no app for controlling a crane-powered sign over London.

Watch what you tweet.

According to a recent study, 70% of employees in Human Resources have turned down an applicant based on his or her online presence.

It sure makes that beer bong profile photo a lot less hilarious. Read more here.
